Have you heard of Sequential Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (SIPC)?

This is a great addition to your tool box for managing your lipoedema; whether you’re managing your condition conservatively, or preparing for surgery.

SIPC is an easy to use, effective home treatment which for most people takes about an hour a day when it suits you.

Pressure can be adjusted for your personalised treatment regime, working with your therapist to achieve maximum benefit. SIPC is fully configurable and is easy to change as your needs and symptoms change.

While I always recommend using pumps with a back-up compression garment/wrap in between, pumps can come into their own over the summer months when many of us feel less motivated to put compression garments on sweaty legs! The beauty of the pump is it can be used as little or as much as you like in the comfort of air-conditioning or in front of a fan!

The best way to know if a treatment tool is effective is to hear from other users:

‘Movement feels so much easier than it used to - having the pump in my tool kit has been an absolute game changer for me, knowing that I have access to something that will reduce my swelling basically immediately rather than having to wait for an MLD appointment - I use it in conjunction with MLD.’

‘I absolutely can tell the difference when I have and have not used it.’

‘Pumping has helped me immensely with pain, it is a game changer
